La recién celebrada tercera conferencia del Foro Mundial Bananero
atrajo a delegados de más de 42 países de todos los continentes a Ginebra. Todos los principales actores de la cadena, de trabajadores de las fincas y plantas empacadoras, a comerciantes globales, estuvieron muy bien representados. El evento de 4 días fue organizado conjuntamente por la Organización de la Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura, la Organización Internacional del Trabajo y el gobierno federal de Suiza.
The recent third conference of the World Banana Forum
attracted over 300 delegates from 42 countries across all continents to Geneva, with all key players along the chain, from plantation and packhouse workers to global retailers, very well represented. The four-day event was hosted jointly by the UN Food & Agriculture Organisation, the International Labour Organisation and the federal government of Switzerland.
