FENACLE Marks Progress on Labour Subcontracting

17 June 2008

On the morning of Monday 9th, José Carrera Ormaza, the acting president of FENACLE, handed over a zafrero machete to the Minister of Labour and Employment Antonio Gagliardo, as a gesture of appreciation for the progress made on the mandate 008, on labour subcontracting.

fenacle_meeting_photo.jpgThe meeting was an opportunity for the union leadership to know first hand the results reached by the Minister of Labour and Employment which, in the words of the Minister, “buried the mediation and every form of remote contracting of the Labour Code”.  The Minister emphasized that the regulatory action of the labour force in the country means he will not only watch over the rights of workers, but also protect them in their dialogue with the employers.
