AIMS OF THE CARNIVAL PROJECT

The aims of Banana Link, Positive Productions, Winds of Change and Phoenix Carnival Group at Notting Hill Carnival in 2004 are to:

- To raise awarness of issues facing Caribbean banana producers and to promote fair trade through costume making, float and workshop

- Produce high quality carnival costumes, music and float

- To involve Notting Hill, Norfolk and Brighton communities in awareness raising and Carnival through costume design and costume making workshops, dance and theatrical mas' work, making music and participation in the mas' band.

- To build community cohesion and encourage inter-generational interaction
